Ending of The Martian
I never thought I was going to see this day coming! After managing the food and the ways on how to survive all of those months in Mars, I was finally on my way home with the rest of the crew. I cannot wait until I get back to Earth, back home, and see my parents. Oh my poor parents! All the pain they must have had suffered when they thought I was dead. I cannot blame them, I even thought I was not going to make it back alive. It is so nice to see everyone again, I am still in shock thinking that this is a dream and that at any moment I am going to wake up from it. But I will not. This is REAL!
The 211 days had passed and we finally arrived to our destination, Earth. NASA welcomed us with fabulous gratitude. All of our family members and friends were there. I have never been so happy to see them again in my entire life. NASA gave me an award for being the only astronaut that has ever survived in Mars, so far, and I also gained everyone’s respect toward me. This is the happiest day of my life.
