The One Book One Campus selection for the Fall 2017–Spring 2018 academic year is Margaret Atwood’s novel The Handmaid’s Tale, a compelling and disturbing piece of speculative fiction that, for several reasons, is finding itself back on top of many bestseller lists. Many students have been assigned this text asked to write about it for their classes. Now, we’d like to showcase some of your work for this One Book One Campus Essay Contest.
Please send us your essays about The Handmaid’s Tale. As long as the novel is the centerpiece of your essay, it’s eligible, so pass along whatever you’ve written, regardless of what particular English class or section in might be from. We’ll publish all the entries we receive and select a winning entry.
As The Handmaid’s Tale is the OBOC selection through the Spring 2018 semester, this contest will be open for entries through mid-April. When you submit, please characterize your essay as a “Handmaid’s Tale Contest” entry.
Thanks, and we hope to publish lots of fantastic student work!
