In conjunction with this year’s One Book One Campus selection, Make Your Home Among Strangers, VC Voices is hosting a contest to recognize the best essay written about the novel. Even if you’re not writing an essay for a class, you’re welcome to compose a piece of writing to submit here. Writers are encouraged to explore any number of questions such as “What are the challenges first-generation students face at college?,” or “How does the book explore the idea of culture?,” or even more broadly, “What does it actually mean to be a stranger?” “What doe we mean when we talk about personal identity?” The possibilities are vast, so please, contribute! The more, the merrier!
